Starting with our users
Technology can be complex, but it works best when it feels effortless. As designers, we believe putting people at the center of the experience starts with involving customers in the creative process. To understand their needs and expectations, we use a range of research methods, combining quantitative data with qualitative insights.
Connecting customers and business
Understanding customers’ needs is just the first step. Insights create value for a business when they’re considered alongside its strategy, technical capabilities, and the expectations customers have of the brand.
That’s where meaningful value is created – and where an in-house design team makes a difference. With our inside-out perspective, we connect the customer’s point of view with Deutsche Telekom’s strategic priorities, turning insights into experiences that work for both customers and the business.
Facilitating meaningful solutions
To create value, we turn research findings into actionable insights that point to clear opportunities and potential solutions. This helps us shape strategic innovation decisions and make them more customer-centered. Using the classic Service Design and Design Thinking toolbox, enhanced by our own learnings and reinterpretation of methods, we facilitate customer-centric solutions within Deutsche Telekom.
We’ve also developed our own framework to involve customers early in the concept validation process – before significant time and resources are invested in development.
